The photos are all on facebook, there were too many to put on here anyway, but some were not fit for public viewing, so they'll be included here, along with a reminder of what we got up to.
Kuala Lumpur
This was bascially a very extravegant two-year-anniversary dinner. We took a "luxury coach" from Singapore to KL (5 hours) and had a nap when we arrived at the hotel. Got dressed up and took a taxi to the KL Tower "Atmosohere 360" revolving restaurant, 1,381 feet up. The dinner was an international buffet, the best part being the desserts, and we enjoyed the amazing sunset views and the live music. I particularly remember lovely renditions of "She" by Charles Aznavour and "You make me feel brand new" by The Stylistics.
At one point the band stopped to sing happy birthday to a bunch of people, and I thought "Ahhh, how sweet, wouldn't it be nice if they knew it was our anniversary...". David really excelled himself here, because they did sing to us, and brought out this special anniversary cake, which he had arranged previously.
Typically vigillent of our budget, and our safety as several people warned us not to carry money, David had calculated the cost of the evening and brought that exact amount of money. One slight oversight was the service charge, so we found ourselves quite shy when it came to the bill. After lengthy deliberation, the Maitre D awarded us a very convenient discount, as there was really nothing we could do to rectify the situation at that point. Another implication being that we had no money for a taxi home, which gave us the opportunity for a lovely 8km walk back to the hotel via the Petronus Towers, which were stunning. Before going to bed we took advantage of the empty, 12th floor outdoor pool area.
The next day we relaxed, walked around, did a bit of shopping and took the coach home.

We expected this to be the best holiday ever, so it had a lot to live up to and honestly, it was even better than I'd hoped. It absolutely was the holiday of a lifetime so, I know I won't do it justice here. Everyone should definitely go and see for themselves though!
We got the all inclusive package which included a 15 minute massage, snorkelling and windsurfing lessons, three meals a day of incredible buffet food, cooked in front of you and snacks at any other time. Our villa was over the ocean and french windows opposite the bed open onto our deck, where you can chill out or jump into the sea. A second deck at the side had a jacuzzi and our bathroom had double, power rain showers. The bed was enormous and so comfortable.
Just 30m from our villa was a fantastic coral reef, perfect clarity and all kinds of beautiful fish that weren't shy at all. We spent most of our time snorkelling and eating (the food was unbelievable), but also had a kick around on the football pitch, kayaked round the whole island together, watched a hermit crab race, and went on a sunset yacht trip to see wild dolphins do tricks and swim right next to the boat. We enjoyed playing with the lizards and crabs, watching them dig holes and seeing the fruit bats and herons so close.
The best part was feeling like you're in another world, where everything's beautiful. It was an unreal experience, and it went by in a flash, so I'm glad we have these photos to remember it.
This is how to enjoy snorkeling in a safe and pasty way :)
Jacuzzi with open view over the ocean!
